Creative Call
inProjecta award 1st edition
The 1st edition of the inProjecta Creative Call Award is a nationwide initiative that aims to honour and celebrate the areas of design, architecture and related fields, highlighting objects where creativity, innovation, innovative or adapted techniques are a reflection of what is being done in Portugal.
objectives
To promote excellence and innovation in what is done in Portugal, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the development of creative solutions to contemporary challenges. It will be a stage for outsiders to get to know the best of what is being done here.
AWARD
A cash prize of €1,000 will be awarded to the winning competitor. Three honourable mentions of a non-pecuniary nature may be awarded.
APPLICANTS
Professionals in the fields of design, architecture, handicrafts and students can take part in the inProjecta Creative Call Award.
In the case of co-authorship, it is mandatory for all authors to sign the Identification Form (Annex I of the Regulations), and the project coordinator will represent the collective for the purposes of notifications.

The jury is made up of three members and one alternate member:
- André Teoman, Founder André Teoman Studio and inProjecta curator
- Alzira Antunes, Co-Founder Gárgula Gótica
- Mariana Alves, Co-Founder Cork Units
- Ana Rita Pires (substitute member), Co-Partner and Design Direction André Teoman Studio
Selection criteria
It assesses the object’s ability to translate a national or unique DNA, characteristic of Portuguese culture. This criterion covers:
- Portugality
- Exclusivity and Originality
- Cultural and social impact
Examples of valued approaches:
- Ability to combine local and foreign techniques in an innovative way.
- Use of international materials transformed into a typically Portuguese production.
- Traditional techniques reinvented with the aid of new technologies.
The solution stands out as a forerunner of new approaches in the context of Portuguese design, proposing creative interpretations or breaking with the conventional use of materials, techniques or visual styles.
It assesses the design for its usability and functionality, aesthetic quality and visual impact, as well as the use of sustainable materials and practices with low environmental impact, promoting a balance between beauty and ecological responsibility.

- Application submission: from 13 January to 7 February 2025
- Jury meeting: between 12 and 14 February 2025
- Contact with the authors of the selected projects: until 18 February 2025
- Delivery of the pieces selected for exhibition: between 20 and 21 February 2025
- inProjecta Fair (award presentation): from 26 February to 1 March 2025
